My name is Dave Morton and I have been a keen amateur landscape photographer all my adult life. In 2011 my wife and I purchased The Old Bakery in the village of Georgeham just a mile from Croyde on the North Devon coast. Living in such a beautiful part of the world has inspired me to capture the beauty of the local area which includes the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the South West Coastal Path, some of the best beaches and coastal scenery in the UK and the Exmoor National Park.
This web site features some of the photographs I have taken through the ever-changing seasons as well as photographs from visits to other parts of the UK and around the world.
There is a special gallery page for photographs taken by our son Paul to whom this website is dedicated. Paul was himself a keen photographer but died from a brain tumour aged 19 in 2008.
The original, high-resolution versions of the images on this web site are available for sale, either digitally or as high quality prints to the size of your choice. Prices are very competitive and available on request. Please use the contacts page for inquiries and to place an order.
The proceeds from sales will go to either CLIC Sargent , the support charity for young people with cancer, or The Brain Tumour Charity which provides a range of support services and funds cutting edge research.
At the Old Bakery we offer both Bed and Breakfast and self-catering accommodation and of course you’d be very welcome to stay if my photographs have inspired you to visit this area. For more information visit The Old Bakery website.
My wife and I also have a charitable trust called Paul’s Fund. Paul’s Fund makes grants that pay for young adults (aged aprox 18 to 30) who have a life threatening or terminal illness to stay for free and in this context we call the accommodation “Paul’s Place”. We are not fund-raising for Paul’s Fund, but we are open to applications for grants. For full details as to who is eligible and how to apply please visit the Paul’s Fund website.
Paul’s Fund is part of the Charities Aid Foundation, Reg. No. 268369.
